Main Duties & Responsibilities

Job Summary:


  • Support to Operations Supervisor in planning, organizing and control of the daily, weekly, monthly and annual activities to meet customer requirements for quality, cost and on-time delivery. assigns work and follows-up frequently to evaluate work, train, and re-plan to meet schedules; holds regular team meetings to facilitate communication, problem solving and to motivate employees; maintains clean, safe, environmentally friendly work area; counsels employees, as required. Full knowledge of Gasket Kitting/Assembly processes and procedures.

  • Corrective actions will be referred to Operations Supervisor or General Manager.

    Job Duties and Responsibilities:

    In support of the Operations Supervisor, the Production Coordinator will perform the follow duties as needed or required within their respective department.

  • Responsible for arranging pick-ups by the carrier or the customer’s purchase order

  • Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the Operations Manager

  • Contact forwarders or customers to coordinate shipments or receive shipping instructions.

  • Retrieve or create documents necessary to ship orders according to their requests, when necessary, communicate with the appropriate personnel to acquire the documents if not easily accessible.

  • International Orders â€" Manage SLI’s, Inspections, packing slips, MTR’s.

  • Commercial Invoices â€" Send to customer, file copy, get releases, and ship product

  • Perform invoicing and posting in Shipping System.

  • Ensure proper workflow through Gasket Kitting/Assembly department

  • Delegate work to Gasket Kitting/Assembly department as needed

  • Work with Operations Supervisor to counsel and coach Gasket Kitting/Assembly employees.

  • Work with Operations Supervisor to track employee performance in the Gasket Kitting/ Assembly area.

  • Responsible for the enforcement of company EEO/ADA/AAP Sexual Harassment policies and procedures.

  • Promotes company to outside suppliers, customers and employees .


    • Basic knowledge of metal cutting, forming, welding and finishing
    • Conflict resolution and problem solving skills
    • Basic knowledge of production process flow and measurement
    • Experienced with computerized materials requirements and scheduling systems
    • Basic knowledge of product and its application Â

    • AA Degree in Industrial Technology preferred, and/or
    • Two years vocational/technical education beyond high school
    • Or â€" at least one year in a Group Lead role

    Physical Requirements:
    • Must be able to lift, bend, stoop and climb
    • Capable of lifting up to 30 lbs. on a regular basis
    • Fork lift certification
    • Cannot be color blind
    • Must have the mental capacity to solve complex mechanical problems with a highly developed sense of urgency
