Main Duties & Responsibilities

Develops and improves manufacturing Processes, applications and systems, providing user administration.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with other departments/organizations and collaborate with other IT staff
  • Carry out exhaustive testing of systems prior to release involving participation of colleagues
  • Develop, enhance, integrate Lamons internally developed and off the shelf 3 rd party applications
  • Works specifically within a multiple of Infor products such as SyteLine, functionally and technically
  • Function as a lead/mentor on projects, as necessary
  • Evaluate the need for updating technology assets and make recommendations
  • Analyze and resolve faults with respect to applications supported whether it is a major system crash or a forgotten password
  • Provide technical advice and support to end users regarding use of company-developed applications
  • Knowledge of programming analysis, systems design, database design, internet/intranet website development, and data communication concepts.
  • Evaluates product manufacturing processes
  • Provide assistance to improve production procedures processes and controls
  • Apply knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials
  • Requesting observations from operators when needed
  • Work with plant supervisors to ensure BOMs are operationally correct and maintained
  • Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout
  • Perform assignments providing best possible highest quality level
  • Conduct product and process analysis for quality improvement, cost reduction and enhanced efficiency
  • Provides manufacturing information by calculating production labor and material costs
  • Provide manufacturing documents and develop Bill of Material for new projects and products
  • Develop and maintain basic product knowledge. Keep informed of market, new products or services, basic technical information, product reliability and other general information of interest to the customer.

  • 5 to 7 years of experience in manufacturing processes and order processing

  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively; visual acuity to process paperwork. Must be able to sit at a desk for long periods of time.
