Main Duties & Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY:

The Inside Sales\nManager oversees the company’s Inside Sales department with direct\nresponsibility for the development and implementation of business relationships\nwith customers. This position plans,\ndirects, and manages all inside sales strategies, functions, policies,\nobjectives and initiatives.

Participates with other senior\nmanagers in developing strategy for the company. Determines and monitors the department’s key\nperformance indicators (KPI’s) such as revenue vs. plan, contact rate, quote\nclosure rate and gross profit percentage. Anticipates and reacts quickly to trends and changes in\nperformance. Hires, supervises, develops\nand mentors the inside sales team. Directly\nsupervises inside sales and customer service representatives. Participates in corporate succession planning\nactivities, writes and delivers employee reviews, keeps close tabs on employee\nmorale and creates a positive working environment.

Essential Duties, Responsibilities\nand Competencies:

Analyzes marketing trends, sales\nhistory, demographic information and related databases to prepare proposals.
Collects and analyzes data on the\nmarket position of competitors.
Assists with sales negotiations,\nattends sales presentations and helps close sales deals. Directly manages very large, high profile\ncustomer accounts, as appropriate.
Ensures inside sales employees are\nequipped with the product, system and selling-skills training, that they\nrequire being successful.
Continually\nimproves the effectiveness of the inside sales organization and enhances\nproductivity, efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Develop and\ncoordinate inside sales selling cycle and methodology.
Establish and\nimplement short-and long-range goals, objectives, policies, and operating\nprocedures.
Promote positive\nrelations with partners and distributors.
Work with\ndepartment managers and corporate staff to develop strategies for future\nbusiness plan for the company.

Qualifications

OTHER COMPETENCIES:
Language Skills:

Excellent\nverbal, written, interpersonal and persuasion skills.

Other Qualifications:
Knowledge of\ncontracting, negotiating, and change management. Knowledge of structuring sales quota goals\nand revenue expectations.

Able to travel\n10% - 15% of the time.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or\nBusiness preferred. Must have seven to\nten years of experience in a sales leadership role with at least 4 years in\nselling. Must have experience in new\nbusiness development activities, including customer interaction, acquisition\nand procurement processes, and competitive assessment.
