Main Duties & Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY:

Coordinates with\r\ninternal departments in handling customer related order follow-up and\r\nexpedites. Acts as liaison between\r\ncustomer, sales, manufacturing, and quality departments. Prepares quotes and\r\nreturns to customer. Processes new customer orders and enters into ERP system.

Essential Duties, Responsibilities\r\nand Competencies:

Achieves and maintains positive relationships with\r\ncustomers and assures customer satisfaction by resolution of customer related\r\nissues. Receives and processes requests for expediting of\r\norders. Coordinates past due data between manufacturing and\r\ncustomers. Reviews upcoming customer scheduled orders\r\nproactively. Serves as liaison between customer and all internal\r\ndepartments to meet customer and company needs. Prepares written communication and maintains filing\r\nsystem. Prepares customer order status reports. Prepares customer quotes. Processes new customer orders.

Qualifications

OTHER COMPETENCIES:

Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as\r\nsafety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure\r\nmanuals. Ability to write routine\r\nreports and correspondence. Ability to\r\nspeak effectively one on one and in small groups with customers and employees.

Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all\r\nunits of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent\r\nand to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Abilities:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry\r\nout instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving\r\nseveral concrete variables in standardized situations.

Other Qualifications:
Ability to work extended hours as needed to ensure\r\ncustomer and company requirements are met on a timely basis. This could include work schedule requirements\r\nin excess of eight (8) hours and occasional Saturdays.

Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual\r\nshould have knowledge of Manufacturing software; Spreadsheet software and Word\r\nProcessing software. Excellent Microsoft Excel skills are needed for this\r\nposition.

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree\r\n(GED). Two years of college\r\npreferred. Two (2) years customer\r\nservice experience, preferably in an aerospace manufacturing environment; or\r\nequivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee\r\nis regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to\r\nsit. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. Specific vision\r\nabilities required by this job include color vision.

Work Environment:
The noise level in the work environment is usually\r\nquiet. The noise level can be loud to\r\nvery loud for short periods when tracking or expediting orders requires plant\r\nor manufacturing exposure.
