Main Duties & Responsibilities

Job Summary: The Metal Hose Welder/ Hose Technician primarily works in the hose department, where day-to-day activities, include operation of machines to make custom hoses, to include equipment set up and preparing the raw material for cutting and maintaining inventory for hose assembly fabrication. Cross training into other areas is required. Processes orders to determine product needed. Package finished product. Records completed orders in system. Keeps area clean. Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager. Job Duties and Responsibilities:

· Performs various fabrication procedures such as, welding, cutting hoses to length and attaching flanges, fittings and other components for industrial customers.

· Hydrostatically pressure test hose assemblies for leak detection, tags as directed.

· Receives and verify incoming parts, material, and supplies; maintains stock areas; prepares sales orders.

· Detect and repo1ts equipment, defective material, improper operations, and unusual conditions to supervisor. Works in manner that insures the safety of everyone involved. Exercise proper care in the use of tools and equipment.

· Maintains quality service by following organization standards.

· Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean shipping area; complying with procedures, rules and regulations.

· Completes reports by entering required information.

· Maintains technical knowledge by attending manufacturer-training program, in-house workshops, and reviewing publications.

· Contributions to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Academic Requirements:

· High school graduate or equivalent; and a minimum of two years manufacturing/hose fabrication experience desirable. Metal Hose experience preferred. Fabrication yard or shop experience helpful.

· ASME BPVC sec IX Certified Welder preferred .



Job Specifications:


  • Reads and understands English and numerals sufficiently to comprehend verbal and written instructions.
  • Speaks and writes English and numerals sufficiently to communicate in a clear, understandable manner.
  • Able to work with numbers with minimal transposition errors over the course of a regular shift.
  • Read and understand all measurement notations on a measuring tape, including 1/32"

and I /16" reading marks and perform basic math

Physical Requirements
    • Able to lift, climb, bend, stoop, push and pull.
    • Continuous standing and/or walking.
    • Work frequently or continuously with weights heavier than fifty pounds.
    • Good eye/hand/foot coordination.
    • Good visual acuity- cannot be colorblind.
    • Ability to work in cold, hot and/or dusty environment, with noisy conditions.
    • Must be able to become forklift certified.
    • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. independently.
