Main Duties & Responsibilities

The Corporate Accounting Manager is responsible for managing the corporate accounting and transaction systems, company consolidations and financial reporting, and policies and procedures within our SOX-compliant internal control structure.

Responsibilities of the Corporate Accounting Manager include:

  • Manage the corporate financial statement close process
  • Prepare the consolidation of subsidiary domestic and foreign business units
  • In coordination with the TriMas and Rieke accounting team, develop and maintain accounting policies and practices which meet US and local GAAP accounting and Sarbanes-Oxley control requirements
  • Lead the shared service function for accounts payable and credit/collections
  • Support the completion of internal and external audits
  • Identify and lead process improvement projects to automate and streamline current accounting and reporting procedures
  • Provide timely and accurate analysis of financial information, accounting systems and financial controls
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Special projects as assigned
  • Support achievement of Rieke’s financial targets including revenue, operating income, working capital and return on invested capital (ROIC)
  • Completion of SOX and US GAAP audits
  • Transaction process metrics including DSO, DPO, processing timing
  • Close process metrics including on-time completion and accuracy rate


Qualifications

Required Qualifications of the Corporate Accounting Manager:

· BS/MS in accounting

· CPA

· Strong financial accounting skills

· Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and facilitate teams

· Advanced skills with accounting and financial consolidations systems

· Strong business acumen

· Ability to anticipate changing business needs and potential external risks

· Proven people management skills and ability to develop a team.

· Excellent English verbal and written communication skills

· Ability to liaise at all levels of the business

· 15+ years’ experience in accounting and finance

Preferred Qualifications of the Corporate Accounting Manager:

· MBA
