Main Duties & Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE: T o perform a variety of operational functions that constitutes the production, inspection and distribution of products or services for our customers. Operates presses and other auxiliary machines and equipment utilizing speed, accuracy and safe operating procedures.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs assignments in accordance with established safety policies and procedures.
  • Adheres to the Quality Policy, including all items assigned to this position in accordance with ISO policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Complies with the work rules and standards set forth in the Employee Handbook.
  • Maintains good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned work sites.
  • Displays appropriate work ethics in the workplace and group settings which provides a positive work environment with co-workers.
  • Refers to work order or procedural instructions appropriate for each job, function or assignment before commencing work.
  • Performs any specified quality assurance checks designated for each job, function or assignment.
  • Assures that all work assigned to position is performed in accordance with specifications, instructions and requirements.
  • Demonstrates ability to meet production standards on specific assignments within a reasonable time, depending on the degree of difficulty of their job functions.


SPECFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Ability to be trained and operate all types of presses including DDI and CWE.
  • Ability to check drawings or job order for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances, and tooling instructions such as fixtures, feed rates, cutting speeds, depth of cut, and determines sequence of operations.
  • Ability to read and follow all current work instructions pertaining to the specific equipment operations.
  • Ability to set up fixtures or feeding device, start machine and engage feed.
  • Ability to observe operation of machine and verify conformance of machined work piece to design specifications and quality standards.
  • Ability to operate auxiliary machines and equipment such as trimmers, chucker, robotic material handlers and process line conveyor.
  • Ability to monitor ultrasonic wall thickness equipment and perform wall thickness and bottom thickness checks of cylinders.
  • Ability to work under pressure and monitor several pieces of equipment at the same time.
  • Willing to work in a hot environment.
  • Ability to react quickly to correct problems with automated equipment.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is not normally exposed to weather conditions. However the production areas are often hot and noisy. The noise level in the work environment is high and ear protection is required.

    Qualifications

    Experience, Competencies and Education
    Must posses an education or experience level that permits the employee to effectively communicate and perform duties, assignments and responsibilities of the job. High School diploma or GED
    • Language Skills

    Ability to read, analyze and interpret the documents relating to the job, function or assignment.
    • Mathematical Skills

    Ability to perform basic mathematical equations.
    • Reasoning Ability

    Ability to make decisions when identifying in-process problems. Ability to deal with a variety of job assignments.
