Main Duties & Responsibilities
Plans, directs, designs and\ncoordinates manufacturing processes in a cold heading and roll forming plant by\nperforming the following duties.
Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Competencies:
Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods.
Design/specify/create internal manufacturing drawings to satisfy customer\nprovided product requirements.
Design/develop optimal forming progressions with focus on scrap reduction\nand process stability.
Design and/or specify cold heading and roll forming tooling, equipment,\nmaterial and/or process issues.
Collaborate/support tool room personnel, heading and roll forming personnel.
Support Sales team in manufacturing feasibility reviews and development.
Provide manufacturing cost savings suggestions and implementation.
Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, and\nworkflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for\npurchase of equipment, materials or parts, and evaluated products according to\nspecifications and quality standards.
Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding\nmanufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to\nfacilitate production processes.

Education and/or Experience:
Associateâ€™s degree (A. A.) or\nequivalent from two (2) year college or technical school; or three (3) years to\nfive (5) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of\neducation and experience.
While performing the duties of\nthis job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee is frequently required to\nstand. The employee is occasionally\nrequired to walk.
