Main Duties & Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY:
Perform all product testing of
Blind Bolt and NAS1900 fasteners to validate proper product function per
industry aerospace specifications and internal specifications prior to Products
Final assembly.
Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Competencies:
Reads and interprets documents (blue prints, drawing, or manufacturing work orders), to ascertain what tools and materials are necessary for testing of blind fastener assemblies.
Sets up and operates, on a production basis, all assigned testing equipment. This includes settings and adjustments required to produce parts to specifications. Selects all necessary testing fixtures and installation tooling to insure proper testing of various products and material types.
Performs product installations using assembled parts, test buttons and installation tooling in order to
complete â€Visual and Dimensional†inspections of product and â€Installation Performance†testing of product.
Performs installed shear and tension testing using text fixtures and speedy testers. Performs dimensional inspection using measuring devices, such as, comparators, micrometers, calipers and digital
indicators.
Controls and monitors procedural actions to ensure conformance to aerospace and internal specifications as
defined by quality documents.
Responsible for fixturing conformance and will direct the necessary rework of tooling as needed to stay
compliant to aerospace standards.
Meets and maintains all productivity levels and quality requirements to support departmental goals and
schedules.
Performs minor preventative maintenance on assigned machines as needed.
Performs record keeping, data entry, housekeeping, and follows safety regulations.

using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Have the ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general
education degree (GED). Mechanical aptitude obtained through either educational, work and/or personal experience.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger,
handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is moderate with noise levels not exceeding 85 decibels without hearing protection.
