Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Sharply focus the organization on creating systems, processes and methods for sustainable Quality leadership.
  • Direct and supervise the Quality team, including performance management, development and motivation of direct reports.
  • Cascade the implementation of the Rieke Quality Vision, accelerating improvement and tightly weaving “a blanket of Quality” over the facility and products.
  • Champion the TriMas Operating System (TOS) and Rieke Operational Excellence from a Quality and Continuous Improvement perspective.
  • Identify and incorporate best-in-segment quality and external survey targets for all markets in which Rieke competes into performance targets.
  • Verify the completeness and integrity of New Product Introduction and Launch Readiness deliverables.
  • Lead and coach local resources on Total Quality mindset and execution through feedback and measurement systems.
  • Participate in Rieke’s global quality improvement process and monitor and coach regional implementation.
  • Ensure Rieke product quality meets customer specifications.
  • Maintain the company’s quality systems in line with ISO9001requirements, and other certifications applicable to the markets served by the Auburn operation.
  • With the Auburn Leadership Team, identify, develop and drive continuous improvement activities and change management initiatives through workshops, training, Kaizen events & Productivity Ideation Program
  • Be a change agent leader. Drive the cultural transformation necessary to achieve world class performance by the organization.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment in quality management, with at least five years of experience as a Quality Manager.
  • Lean or Six Sigma experience. Six Sigma Black Belt a plus.
  • Experience with ISO 9001 2015
  • Quality audit experience
  • Project Management experience
  • Proven people management skills and the ability to develop a team
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Willing to travel within the U.S.
